I USED TO LEVITATE!
Have you ever looked out the window and seen a squirrel burying acorns in the ground, frantically clawing at the dirt, saving for tomorrow? That’s kind of the story behind these recordings. Back when I was traveling at lightspeed, chopping records, looping tape, programming drum patterns, slicing records with worn out needles, triggering explosive sounds. Some of the sonic collage made it out to be heard worldwide. A lot got buried deep for the long winter. Problem is, just like the squirrel, I forgot where I put the dynamite. Time marched on, and on, and on.
One minute, the past is data disintegrating on floppy disks. The next, electrostatic shock reanimates young Will C. and makes the unheard burn bright. The CUTTING ROOM FLOOR IS LAVA!
Mostly recorded between 2007 and 2010.

When you begin this album you are on the ground. You're in the Willderness, on the surface of the Earth. Walking on leaves, strolling the summer sand, wading in water. But at some point, and perhaps sooner than you feel prepared for, you begin to float; rising up to the atmosphere and Beyond Supermoon.
Now, as the person who made this music, I don't know if this is supposed to feel euphoric or terrifying for you - this journey further than we've ever voyaged, from the nature we love and gleam nourishment from, to the unexplored vastness of the cosmos. But I promise you, if you still allow yourself the sacred music listening space of playing an album with headphones in the dark, you will go many places.
All things must come to an end, and I promise I'll get you back safe. After all, it's either we Stick The Landing Or Wave Goodbye.

Vague memories swirl... being a kid in the 90s. Metallic hi hats and fuzzy drums set the pace as my ears were exposed to wondrous sounds. Unforgettable melodies programmed across a vast ocean, imprinted in neural networks forged in the heart of the 16 bit era. The majority of my music career has served as a love letter to downsampled timbres, so it's only right that I finally pay homage down to the kilobyte, looping less than a megabyte. On this collection you'll find my renditions of some lesser known Nintendo compositions alongside a selection of all time classics, with some of my own cartridge-infused offerings sprinkled in for good measure. Get equipped with 16 Bit Ones!
To access the desired sonic qualities, this album was mostly recorded with a Synergy I synthesizer, a rare instrument manufactured between 1982 and 1985 that runs off cartridges, just like the Super Nintendo!
This album is mixed in sparkling SPATIAL AUDIO, optimized for immersive headphone listening. We're taking it way back to the days of old school consoles, but let it be known that this is the opposite of “lo-fi” - I want an elaborate polyphonic universe to animate between your ears; to deliver positive contact to your auditory nerve. You are now the face on the cover of this album, surrounded by uplifting sounds. HAVE A GOOD TIME!
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
A special note to my longtime listeners: This is a brand new re-imagining of one of my rarest collections! New track list, all new mix, painstaking re-engineering and re-mastering. When I decided to finally get 16 Bit Ones up on streaming services, it led to a chain reaction, from making sure I've properly licensed foreign compositions to realizing I wanted to deeply focus on improving the sound quality of the original album mix. I've made the decision to no longer offer the original version for sale here on Bandcamp, but it is by no means my intention to lock people out of accessing it - if those who purchased the original version can no longer find it here on Bandcamp, please let me know and I will absolutely make sure I can get it into your hands. Thanks as always for your support and understanding. I appreciate you!

An old saying goes something like this - “there are THREE things in life that are certain:
This age-old phrase aligns oddly well with the history of Mort Garson’s “Plantasia,” one of the very first albums recorded entirely on a Moog synthesizer. Upon release, you could get your hands on this ear candy only if you bought a Simmons mattress from Sears, or if you happened to buy a houseplant from one store in Los Angeles called Mother Earth.
Yet, like a flower that grew from concrete, Garson’s synthesizer masterwork flourished with the odds of worldwide success thoroughly stacked against it. Decades after its limited release, a massive rediscovery and appreciation took place among music lovers. The album garnered millions of listens on the internet, most recently culminating in “Plantasia” becoming the soundtrack to this year's Turbo Tax ad campaign… in some twisted way fulfilling the ‘taxes’ component of aforementioned dusty old quote.
Never one to pass up participating in a music and government paperwork crossover, I offer you my version of Plantasia’s title track, BUT WITH A TWIST! This version is mixed in sparkling SPATIAL AUDIO, optimized for immersive headphone listening. This is the opposite of “lo-fi” - I want an elaborate polyphonic universe to animate between your ears; to deliver positive contact to your auditory nerve. Fall is upon us - the freeze death of lush green plant life, but the garden in your mind is infinitely in bloom. Here’s the proof!
